Vonage | Attended Transfers

Use an attended transfer to place a caller on hold while you speak to the final transfer recipient. After you are finished speaking, you can complete the transfer.

To complete an attended transfer from your Vonage phone:

o Press the Transfer button on your phone. This may be a key on your phone or a softkey that appears on your phone's display.

Once you press the Transfer button, the caller will be placed on hold and hear hold music)

o Dial the recipient's extension number or external phone number and press the Dial softkey or # (pound) button.

o When recipient answers, get approval to transfer.

o If 'yes', press the Transfer button or softkey a second time to complete the transfer.

o If 'no' choose the 'Cancel' softkey and discuss options with caller.

Please Note: Attended transfers will show the caller ID of the extension that transferred the call. It does not display the caller ID of the original caller.
